What to expect from the procedure

How to prepare for your appointment

On the day of the appointment, don’t put makeup on the areas being treated. The injection specialist will remove it all anyway!

How long does the treatment take?

Known as “lunch break appointments,” filler treatments usually take no more than an hour. That said, it’s important to remember that you’ll probably have swelling or bruising immediately after. Don’t plan your headshots right after your session!

Aftercare and results from Restylane Kysse

Dealing with pain, swelling, and bruising

Swelling, bruising, red marks, tenderness, and itching are common after a dermal filler application. Don’t massage the area, scratch, or pick at any redness, as it could affect the final results. You can apply ice and analgesic creams and take acetaminophen for any discomfort.

Things to avoid

In the hours after your treatment, avoid drinking alcohol or participating in strenuous exercise. Don’t drink hot liquids, and avoid sunbathing, tanning, and saunas. Give your face a break for at least six hours. After that, you can wash your face with water and a gentle cleanser. 

Makeup should wait until the day after your session.
